Ciara did the #InMyFeelingsChallenge, and Russell Wilson kinda did too

Drake’s highly anticipated album Scorpion has delivered. Not that it’s his best work, but that we have a summer jam through the song “In My Feelings,” and a challenge that goes along with it.

The #InMyFeelingsChallenge is sweeping the internet. Odell Beckham Jr. caught on this past week, and now Russell Wilson and Ciara have joined in on the challenge. Except... it’s really just Ciara, which is how it should be.

Ciara is a great artist and dancer, something that not all performers are blessed with. She unsurprisingly dominated the challenge, a one-person show with Wilson has her backup. Wilson might as well have booking information in his Instagram bio that goes untouched.

Let us go back to the 2015 Kids’ Choice Awards. Russell Wilson and Ciara were there as well, and were on stage doing the Whip and Nae Nae.

Wilson’s dance was not great there. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. Ciara killed it, because that’s what she does.

I just want to acknowledge the growth here by Wilson. He knows that dancing isn’t his strength, and it’s not something he needs to try hard at when there’s a camera. At some point, Ciara had to have given him a similar pep talk that Will Smith gave to Kevin James in the movie Hitch, where she puts him in a zone to stay at.

Some NFL players do have rhythm like OBJ, JuJu Smith-Schuster, among many others. Wilson’s one that just doesn’t have the sauce, and that’s OK.
